Ocean Resort

This hotel is amazing. It has great ocean view rooms, great staff and great customer service. We came during the off-season so we got an amazing price on the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel which is right on the Boardwalk and amazing value. We can't wait to come back next year!!!!

Room serves it purpose but not sure why we were put in a handicapped room when the place was empty. Not the cleanest in the hallways or shower. Great view of the water. Inside Pool is NOT heated even though the day staff said it was so if you want to swim this is not the hotel for you. However the staff was very friendly.

Rooms were decent. Could have been cleaned a little more. Balcony was awful! Water puddles on the entire floor! Also, more water drips from room above! Can't enjoy it! The best part of the trip at this hotel was the receptionist! I hate that I can't remember hee name! She has long dark hair, very petite. We were there on a girls trip. She helped us so much with places to go and things to do. She an asset to that place.

We had a great stay at the Ocean Resort on Virginia Beach! The staff were kind, communicative, and accommodating the whole time - also with our early check-in request. Couldn't ask for a better location right in the center of anything we could want and need. The negative reviews about the hot hallways and elevator problems concerned us before we arrived, but were NOT a big deal for our family of 4 whatsoever. Our room was cold, balcony views were great, beds were comfy, functional bathroom, fridge, microwave and safe. Morning coffee for adults and juice for kids. Easy access to the beach and boardwalk. Staff helped with anything we asked at the drop of a dime. Parking was a pain at times but the excess lot is right around the corner. Worth it for the easy beach access! Would definitely stay here again!

Rooms are nice enough. The location is great. The indoor pool you have to go outside to get to it or through an unheated stairwell so in the colder parts of the year is not he best situation.

This was my fourth time staying at Ocean Resort, and it never disappoints. The staff was very friendly, the view from the hotel was spectacular, and I really enjoyed the lobby coffee station where you can make different types of coffee and even hot chocolate for free. I also appreciated that I had booked three rooms, and they were able to accommodate us by placing all of them together in the same area. On the downside, the pool was very cold and could use a small renovation, although there were always plenty of towels available. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives, and I had a great stay once again.

My husband and I stayed this past weekend and were very pleased. The staff was top notch at the desk and in housekeeping. The bed was so comfortable. I haven't slept that good in a long time. The elevators were in good shape. It got us from floor 1 to floor 8 in no time. The room was clean as well. And the view was amazing. I give this place a 9. Only because it could be updated a touch other than that it would be a 10. We will definitely be back.

Was a very nice room, the shower on the main bathroom was wonderful, my only complaint was that rooms was a little outdated as far as having no UAB outlets for computers or charging phones, other than that fun was had by all.
